Joe Brasile

Head Coach

Email

Hello, I am Coach Joe Brasile. I have been a part of the Woodstock Dolphins organization for over twenty years, first as a swimmer, then as a Dolphin parent and now in my fifth year as Head Coach. I also swam for the Woodstock HS team and with the Western Illinois University team. I have two daughters that swim on the team, Haley(16) and Brooke(11). My other job is teaching Physics and Earth Science at Woodstock North HS. In my free time you can find me outdoors with my family either hiking, biking, skiing or taking a walk. I look forward to yet another exciting season with the Woodstock Dolphins.

Renee Walker

Head Assistant Coach

Email

Coach Renee began swimming competitively at the age of 5 for the YMCA swim club in Clinton, Iowa. She qualified for the state finals each year starting at age 7 and won both in the 25-yard and 50 yard several years. Renee went on to swim at the Midwest Regional in Waukesha, Wisconsin in the breastroke at each age level. She swam on the varsity squad for 4 years at Clinton High School, breaking records and qualifying for state and was team captain her senior year. When heading to college she decided to concentrate on her studies and hung up her suit and goggles. She looks back on her swim career with fond memories she will carry with her forever. She is glad to be back in the swimming world and part of the Woodstock Dolphins. Her husband, Tony, is a teacher at Woodstock High School and she has 2 daughters. She hopes one of them will find the same love for swimming she has.

Megaen Koscinski

Volunteer Coach

Email

Megaen serves on the Woodstock Dolphins Board of Directors as the New Swimmer/Parent Liaison and also donates her time as a Volunteer Coach.  She began swimming competitively for the YMCA in Ft. Worth, TX as a child. When she moved to the Chicago area in 1988, she swam for Elgin in the summer.  As a freshman at Maine East High School, she qualified for Sectionals in the 100 Freestyle and the 100 Butterfly. Megaen set school records individually in the 150 Free and 500 Free and was a part of record-setting Medley and Freestyle Relay teams.  As an adult, she stays in shape by training for marathons.  To date she has competed in 6 and is a 2 time Boston Marathon qualifier.  Both of Megaen’s daughters (Jesselyn and Shannon) swim on the team in the C2 group. The Koscinski family has been with the Dolphins since 2007.

Pam Gantner

Volunteer Coach

Email

Pam has been a Woodstock Dolphin parent since 2003 and an avid swimmer for most of her life.  She was introduced to swimming at an early age by her father, who was a swimming instructor and high school swim coach.  She was taught by the best!  Growing up, Pam devoted most of her free time to dance and used swimming for exercise and recreation.  As an adult she and her husband have four children, three of whom (Claire, Olivia, and Henry) have been or are currently Woodstock Dolphins.  She is thrilled to give back to the Dolphins by donating her time as a Volunteer Coach.
