Dolphins Take 10th at PAC Meet
The Dolphins swam in the Patriot Aquatic Club Invite
January 15-17 and finished 10th out of 14 teams. This meet
featured the toughest competition the Dolphins have faced this
winter.
Individually, the team had several swimmers post outstanding times
and places. These included 6th place finishes from Lexi Olsen
(400 IM 5:07.44), Tess Devinger (200 IM 2:30.06), Nolan Scanlan (50
Breast 55.35) and Lucia Alcazar (50 Back 47.70). Finishing in
5th place were Gianna McGuire (50 Back 32.16) and Davis Meyn (100
Breast 1:33.13). Tess Devinger also took 4th place in the 100
Breast (1.19.76). The top performances for the Dolphins were
3rd place finishes from Davis Meyn (200 IM 2:53.76) and Hayley
Griesser (50 Fly 35.14 and 100 Fly 1:22.77).
The Dolphins will swim next at the Blue Devil Blizzard hosted by
the Blue Devil Swim Club January 23-24. The meet will be
sanctioned by USA Swimming & Illinois Swimming and will be
contested at Warren Township High School in Gurnee, IL.

WOODSTOCK SPLASHTASTIC MEET APPAREL SHORTAGE
REMEDY
Dear Dolphin families,
It has come to my attention that there was an apparel shortage at
our Woodstock Winter Splashtastic meet with the custom-made
on site apparel. Some team members were not able to purchase
apparel because the vendor, Fine Designs, ran out of sizes or
colors or certain items.
Please contact me directly at angelas@dls.net
if this is the case for your swimmer. I need to know what
item was out of stock and what design your swimmers want so I can
get it ordered. I am working with the vendor to get the
situation addressed and get any sweatshirts or other items quickly
expedited and shipped directly to your homes. The vendor is
offering to resolve this quite nicely for us and give these
families special pricing.
Sorry for the shortages – this is a learning process and we
will continue to improve at each meet on sizes, selection and
pricing of apparel.

SWIM CAPS AND ANY REMAINING APPAREL ISSUES
Hello Dolphin families,
Our official team cap is white with a blue dolphin logo, however,
there were some issues with ordering caps through Keifer
stating the minimum order qty was not met; thus some swimmers did
not get caps.
We do have the previous team cap available (blue with a white
logo) in both latex and silicone. Caps are $3 for latex and
$9 for silicone. If you want the old style cap for your
swimmer, please contact me at angelas@dls.net.
We just found these caps prior to Splashtastic in our summer
storage area. These the the same caps we had for sale at
Splashtastic, I just wanted those families who may not have seen
them or attended to be aware.
The old style cap is what the coaches will have available as
spares at a meet for swimmers who forget their caps.
